Once payment has been recieved in full (by BetterNames Ltd or the agreed escrow agent). For TLD's (com/net/org etc) ownership is passed over to the buyer within 48 hours. Control panel access will then be available for free transfers / dns changes by the registrar. For co.uk's a £35 + VAT is charged by Nominet and both Betternames Ltd (or the current domain holder) and the new owner must complete a transfer form. This can increase the time needed for an ownership change.

If the agreed price is below £1000 we expect payment to be up front. For amounts totalling above £1000 pounds an optional escrow agent could be agreed on at the expense of the buyer.
